Elements Of Art && Principles Of Design
Line - marks made by a tool and can vary in width, direction, curvature, length, or color.
Shape - are formed wherever the ends of a continuous line meet. Geometric shapes uniform measurements and don't often appear in nature. Organic shapes are associated with things from the natural world.
Color - color wheels show the primary colors, secondary colors, and the tertiary colors. They also who the relationships between complementary colors across from each other, and analogous colors next to each other.
Value (Tone) - refers to dark and light. It helps us to see and understand a two-dimensional work of art
Form - describes objects that are three-dimensional, having length, width, and height.
Texture - refers to the surface quality, both simulated and actual, of artwork.
Space - refers to distances or areas around, between, or within components of a piece. It can be positive or negative, open or closed, shallow or deep, and two-dimensional or three-dimensional
Principles OF Design
Balance - is the comfortable or pleasing arrangement of things in art. There are 3 different types of balance: symmetrical, asymmetrical, and radia.
Contrast - created by using elements that conflict with one another, and it is often created using complementary colors or extremely light & dark values.
Emphasis - The focal area of an artwork that gives it importance
Movement - means the artist is taking viewers on a trip through the work by means of edges, shapes, and colors that often lead to the focal areas. It is a visual flow through the composition.
Pattern - is when the same shapes or elements are repeated again and again.
Rhythm - is the repetition of shapes, lines and forms, it is a movement in which some elements recurs regularly
Unity - means that all the elements in artwork are in harmony.

Mural Review..
A good theme for an Akins Mural would be an eagle and the colors blue and gold. The Eagle because that's our mascot and the colors blue and gold because that's our colors..
This would be a good theme to take time and capture because it would show or Akins spirit.. I think other students would care about this theme because it represents our school.
An advantage of using a Phone camera is that you can take a photo everywhere you go. And a disadvantage is that the picture may not have the same quality as a photo taking by a SLR camera.
The advantage of using a SLR camera is that the photos are going to be high quality but a disadvantage is that you may not know how to use it or you may not take it with you at all times.
I think we should use both for this project because we can take picture everywhere we go.

Quick Write : Wildlife Photos.
Best Wildlife Photos Of The Year Vs. African Photos!
I like the African Photos better than the Best Wildlife Photos Of The Year because for me the African Photos look more interesting and better. I think the black and white of the photos is why the photos look more fascinating and interesting. The Wildlife Photos are pretty cool too but I like the African Photos better.Tuesday, October 15, 2013
Purpose Of Photography (Reactions To The PowerPoint).
My reaction to this PowerPoint is I'm really impressed by the pictures. they are really fascinating.
this is my favorite picture because you can see the lion sitting looking around her. i like this photo because the lion and the background look beautiful.
This picture shows the rule of thirds the lion is not in the center, she is on the left corner.
Nick Brandt uses a Pentax67II
The reason why he took those photos is because he wanted to show the beauty of Africa.
Hes Hope by taking this pictures is to show that the animals have an equal right to live just like we do.
"The photos are my elegy to these beautiful creatures, to this wrenchingly beautiful world that is steadily, tragically vanishing before our eyes."
